Is China A Good Place to Purchase Light Bulk Wholesale

April 26, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Are you like thousands of people looking for authentic Chinese wholesale suppliers? There are a lot of businesses looking for light bulk wholesale suppliers and that is why many people are looking towards Chinese wholesalers as the solution to their problems. But of course there are some pitfalls to doing business with a foreign country and you need to be wary of these beforehand you start ordering from China.

Many people are under the false illusion that everything that comes from a honest Chinese wholesale supplier will be cheaper than they can source locally. This just isn’t true. In fact, with postage costs and time constraints, it’s often more expensive to find products from China than to buy locally. Let’s take a look at an example. If you were to buy five goods from a regular wholesaler, they’d probably cost around ten dollars each, but if you get them from an authentic Chinese wholesale supplier, you may be able to buy them for 5$-6$, this is a tremendous difference until you look at postage. Of course, postage goes on weight, so if the items you are purchasing is particularly heavy or bulky – you could be paying over the odds for what you are buying.

Another point to note when dealing with a good Chinese wholesale source is that not many of them really are legitimate. Most will simply sell knock-off items or poor quality imitations of whichever products you are looking to buy.

In fact, the very best way to order light bulk wholesale is to look for suppliers that are already in the country. Many wholesale suppliers will also be able to supplyyou with liquidations or closeout stock which are particularly inexpensive to buy and you can make very good profits selling these on. The good thing about trading with a local supplier is that you won’t have to get involved with any additional import fees for the items that you are sourcing and you can be assured that everything you are buying is genuine.

Another point of note is that you can investigate dropshippers. If you don’t know what a dropshipper is, let’s just explain. It simply means that when a customer orders a product from your store, it will be shipped direct to the customer from the wholesale supplier. You don’t need to pay for the item until you have made a sale, so it’s one of the best ways to sell products if you don’t have the room, money, or time to stock whatever you are selling.

Whether you are running a business online or offline, there are lots of different ways that you can sell the goods you have purchased through light bulk wholesale. For example, if you’re selling online, you can tryout an EBay business or you might like to start your own website and have people buy merchandise directly from you.

Don’t think that using a legitimate Chinese wholesale is the only way to do business, as often in the end, it will cost more time and money than it’s worth. Be sure to check out what’s available locally before getting caught up in the headaches of overseas wholesale suppliers.

How to Buy Customer Returns

March 6, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Have you ever thought that you would like to buy customer returns? It’s something that you should be aware of if you are in the business of purchasing wholesale products and reselling them to your customers. Many large wholesale suppliers will have contracts to acquire customer returns from large retail stores and when you investigate some of the products that are available through the customer returns, closeouts and overstocks process, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you find.

There is a good profit potential available when you obtain customer returns, but there are also some issues which are worth considering. Let’s determine what returns are so that when you purchase wholesale returns item you have an understanding of the sorts of things that you will be receiving.

Most large department shops and retail chains have a system whereby they will allow returns from their customers. There might be conditions for the returns, but at the least they must accept goods which are not fit for the function which they were intended.

It’s a wise point to note that most customer returns will not be provided in the original packaging, especially as so many items are now delivered in tamper proof packaging which are impossible to be salvaged.

The reason that retailers will accept customer returns is that they want their customers to keep purchasing from them and often it is the fact that they have the ability to return merchandise that will drive some customers to make the initial purchase.

So when merchandise is returned to the store, what do they do with it?

In general, most vendors have a setup whereby they have a contract with a bulk liquidator or wholesale supplier that will come and buy customer returns at a marked down rate and then on sell to their business customers. But if some of the items is damaged, then why would bulk liquidators be willing to buy it? The reason for this is the price. Wholesale suppliers will have an agreement that states they will pay anywhere between tend and twenty-five percent of the retail price of the customer returns, but the returns that they accept must still have a value of at least seventy five percent of the original selling cost. This allows the wholesale supplier to make a profit when selling to business retailers, and thus the retailer making a profit when selling to the end user.

If buying customer returns with items that have a value of less than 75% of their original retail price, bulk liquidators will usually enter into a negotiation regarding what they will pay for the product.

It’s a good point to note that closeouts and overstocks will often be in brand new condition, meaning that they will retain one hundred percent of their value, so of course this is great opportunity to make a profit. Many customers returns will also be made up of high value items such as TVs and camcorders that may only need a minor repair to function correctly.

There is good money to be made dealing in customer returns so if you are in the online retail business, investigate this opportunity as a great way to turn easy profits.
