Keywords are fascinating. Researching them can even be fun. For instance, if you want to rank for Lake Norman SEO, by doing some good keyword research you would discover that Lake Norman SEO gets twenty times the clicks per day, roughly, than if you use “Lake Norman SEO company” as your keywords!
That difference can make a BIG difference when you start to talk about the profitability of a keyword. For example, again using Lake Norman SEO: if you ranked number one in Google for that term it could earn $104.52 to you - per click. When you see the amount of searches a day that go on for that term it can be a real eye opener to how important ranking for certain terms can be.
Now ranking for Lake Norman SEO is a small fry term compared to a term like NC web design, which again is totally obliterated by the term web design company - how would you like a guesstimated $10,268 in revenue per click for a term? But there are many more worth a lot more than that!
If you are starting a company you are in the cat bird seat when it comes to building a solid base for your Internet presence by knowing the most profitable keywords in your market. Using an SEO specialist in the best way to know that your keyword research is accurate.
Just as there are a multitude of Search Engine Optimization companies out there, there are some that just focus on large corporations. Small business owners are advised to work with smaller firms, or even a freelance SEO specialist.

Chances are you struggle (like I do) with finding good keywords. I can find lots of them. Most of what I find are useless though.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. A big company like that wouldn’t give false results, would they? Well, that’s not always the case.
The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it probably was at the time they put it together. I stumbled across the solution to this particular conundrum.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. I was shocked at this huge difference. Looked like it was going to be hard work. A bit more investigating turned up my own articles on loads of these new competing sites.
The point I’m trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A nice situation to be in!
I decided now to try a keyword research service as I couldn’t keep relying on luck. Getting a daily list of quality keywords sent is something that appeals to me. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
There were a few to choose from but I went with Travis Sago and his Instacash service. After all, he’s the king of the bum marketers. Bum (article) marketing is something I enjoy as it’s almost free.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. I see this as an outsourcing project. I’m outsourcing my keyword research to a professional service.
If you want to hear about my trial of the Instacash service get yourself over to my website. I also mention earlier about thousands of articles published for one keyword. I’ll let you into that little secret on my site.
