Sponsoring MLM Distributors Has Never Been Easier

Just who is Bill Britt, anyways?  And who cares?

Before becoming an Amway legend, Bill Britt lived in Raleigh, North Carolina, and was a broke, frustrated City Manager.  Immediately after becoming involved, he began to break sales records - and his organization has not slowed down for more than 30 years.  It is estimated that he has somewhere between 2-5 million members of his Amway team, which is larger than any other organization in the history of MLM except for Dexter Yager.  (Bill Britt is part of Dexter’s Group).

When hearing about Bill, the income predictions fly.  Bill Britt was a speaker at several events I attended from 2002 to 2005, during the years I was an active Amway distributor.  I heard income speculations ranging from ridiculous to outrageous.  (The highest rumors were upwards of $300 million annually).  (As a special note - this is not an income claim, as I have no affiliation whatsoever with Amway - I’m just saying that no one really knows how much he makes - except that it is probably A LOT.)

The loyalty of Bill Britt’s Amway team is unsurpassed in the MLM profession.  Bill Britt was the keynote speaker at a major conference I attended in 2005 in Long Beach, CA.  The room roared with applause as he walked on the stage, and when he spoke they were all silent - with tape recorders running and notes flying.  Bill Britt was revered as if he were part man, part God - similar to how I imagine the Pharoahs of ancient Egypt being reverenced by their devotees.  I think he talked more about religion and politics than he did about Amway, which didn’t surprise me that much because I had been going to Amway events for 3 years - and they all do that.

Bill Britt built the foundation for his business in the late 1960’s and 1970’s through traditional Network Marketing tactics, including home meetings, hotel briefings, Saturday training events, and weekend Seminar excursions.

He also has developed one of the largest and most profitable personal development companies in the world - each week sending out millions of tapes, books, and training materials to his downline organization.  Estimates at his income from his personal development tool business range up to 90% of Bill’s total income.

Bill Britt belongs to a world of the past - he preaches a godly government, limited government intervention in our personal lives, family values above all else - and oh, I almost forgot that he occasionally mentions Amway.

Because of a failure to adapt to more modern strategies, the Bill Britt organization went through a period of extreme struggle throughout the late 1990’s, where check’s dwindled and distributors were frustrated.

I joined Amway in 2002 (when they were flying the Quixtar flag) and I struggled for 3 years doing absolutely EVERYTHING I was told by my upline sponsor.

As a result, I quit and designed my own business systems which I find more efficient in building a business today (I spend less time today than I did during those 3 years, and make five times the income).  However, I still have great respect for Bill Britt, his organization, and their accomplishments over the last 30 years.  My biggest insight I took from getting to know Bill Britt is this:

MLM has an absolutely boundless, unlimited potential for financial prosperity.

Bill Britt is truly a phenomenon in the business world - and we should recognize him for his accomplishments as fellow entrepreneurs in Network Marketing.
